Midsummer Greetings

Greetings to you all at this incredibly busy time of the year!

I don’t think there is anything more beautiful than our state in the spring.  The Mother has awakened and she is blessing us with her joyful abundance and beauty.  It seems EVERYTHING is in bloom, and it is a treat to simply drive around and see all the burgeoning green blessings in everyone’s yard, in the parks, along the roadsides and in the fields . . .

I am just back from a 3 day Herbalism conference that was jam packed with wondrous people and information and beautiful scenery, and glorious food.  I am also on the middle of packing and getting ready to head to the Earth House Midsummer Gather.  Much to do!! This is a brief note to you all, but I will be back with some herbal recipes for you, reports on the Gather, some wisdom from the Wise Women I spent time with at the herbalism conference, and some seasonal devotional things to consider.  For now—go hug a tree, plant some perennials, plant some herbs, plant some annuals; forage and gather some healing seeds for making medicine!! Sit with the plants and let them tell you who they are.  Share your breath with them – they give you oxygen, you give them CO2-what a great exchange!  While you are sitting, place your hands on the earth, and feel the mother breathe beneath you, and listen to the birds serenade you.  Spend some time outside in the beautiful sunshine!  I look forward to seeing many of you at the Gather.

Until next time,

Yours in service,

Neva
